FAQ

01. Extra space inside RoboChain when installing cables and hoses.
-For cables, please allow extra space that is 10% larger than the external surface.
-For pneumatic hoses, please allow extra space that is 15% larger than the extemal surface.
-For hydraulic hoses, please allow extra space that is 20% larger than the external surface.
02. Weight distribution when installing cables and hoses inside.
The weight of the cables and hoses must be balanced symmetrically within the RoboChain for maximum operational efficiency and durability. If the weight of the cables and hoses are not symmetrically distributed, the lifespan of the RoboChain may be reduced.
03. Selecting radius of curvature of RoboChain.
Cables and hoses used must be suitable for RoboChain. For cables, please select radius of curvature that is greater than 7.5 times that of the external surface. For hoses, please select radius that is greater than 10 times that of the external surface. For hoses with internal pressure higher than 70kgf/cm2, please make sure to select the radius of curvature that is greater than 12 times that of the extemal surface.
04. Fueling RoboChain.
Hanshin RoboChains are exclusively manufactured by HSC using a special environmentally friendly material that enables oil-less operations. However, when using HS and HSS types, a bit of fueling may prolong the lifespan of the RoboChains. The amount of fueling could vary depending on the surrounding environment RoboChains are operating in.
05. Tying up cables and hoses inside RoboChain.
Cables and hoses are never to be tied to links, plates, dividers, supporters, or bars using wires and cords. Cables and hoses are to be left free to move. However, tying up the cables and hoses onto the last bundle (located just past the end bracket) with a damp or a strain relief prevents the entanglement of cables and hoses during use.
06. Selecting the lengths of cables and hoses inside RoboChain.
Please make sure that the cables and hoses run through the center of the RoboChain when determining their lengths. Caution: The cables and hoses may get pulled out of the chain if their lengths are too short and protrude out of the chain if their lengths are too long.
07. Handling of the cables when installed for the first time.
Please make sure the cables are not entangled when untying them from a drum. The cable from a drum that is in a laid-down position becomes more and more entangled each time it is uncoiled. The entangled cables are to be untwisted. Please follow the instructions below in order to prevent entanglement. Special caution is required particularly in the wintertime as the untwisting of the entangled cables becomes more difficult.
08. Handling of the cables and hoses while in use.
Please administer periodic inspection of the cables and hoses as their lengths may change after repetitive use. If the cables and hoses have been elongated, their lengths can be adjusted with a clamp or a strain relief at the last bundle located just past the end bracket. This will also help prevent the entanglement of the cables and hoses.
09. Periodic inspection of RoboChain during its use.
Hanshin RoboChains are made with specially manufactured loosening-protective bolts. However, the bolts and its connecting parts may become lose or unfastened over time due to long-term use and/or vibrations while in use, thus periodic inspections are required.
10. Protecting the environment.
All Hanshin RoboChains are made with environmentally friendly materials. Please contact our head office for information regarding recycling or disposing of RoboChain units.
